Beyond the boutique editions, the Khaki Mechanical Field 38mm comes in five dials, but there are two additional dials with dates that look awful compared to the non-date. Don't get those. The layout is consistent with the others and with classic military field watches, which prioritize clarity and legibility above all else: Arabic numerals, an internal 24-hour track, and sword hands with pinched ends. With the significant contrast between the hands and markers and the dial, I never had any issues reading the time, even at the quickest glance. The seconds hand counterbalance is a bold paddle shape, which is almost whimsical in its simple roundness. Surrounding the main dial, the chapter ring has minute hashes and lumed triangle hour markers with black borders (as I look at them closely, I wonder if white borders may have been a better choice).
